Control - Automatic Operation

When the motor is selected to run automatically the inhibit and permissive interlocks remain in circuit and the motor is started and stopped according the requirements of a control unit. That control unit may be a simple thermostat that starts and stops a fan according to temperature, or it may be a programmable logic controller sequentially starting and stopping motors within a complex process system. It does not take the place of the interlocks it controls the starting and stopping only.
